Delete your WetBulbTracker account
WetBulbTracker is operated by WetBulbTracker LLC. This page explains how to delete your account and everything attached to it, what we remove, and what we are required to keep.
You do not need an account to use WetBulbTracker. Readings, guidance, state policy tables, the pavement check and city pages all work signed out, and nothing about you is stored. If you have never signed in, there is nothing here to delete.
Delete it yourself, in about ten seconds
- Sign in at wetbulbtracker.com.
- Open Account from the menu, or go to wetbulbtracker.com/account.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Choose Delete my account, then confirm.
It happens immediately and cannot be undone. We do not email a confirmation link or hold the request for a waiting period.
If you cannot sign in
Email info@wetbulbtracker.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm by reply. We act only on a request sent from the account’s own email address, because that is the one thing showing the request is yours.
If you have a paid subscription
Deleting your account cancels your Plus or Pro subscription immediately. You will not be billed again. We do not refund the remainder of a period already paid for, so if you would rather use what you have paid for and leave later, cancel first from Account and delete the account when the period ends.
What is deleted
All of it, at once, by the database rather than by a cleanup job that could miss something:
- Your sign-in record: email address, and your name if you used Google or Apple
- Your personal profile: age band, acclimatization, activity level, and any health sensitivities you chose to enter
- Saved locations and preferences
- Heat alert rules, and the push subscriptions that deliver them
- Your plan record and the reference linking you to our payment processor
- Pro Studio sites, templates and saved reports, if you had them
Shared links behave in two different ways, so both are worth saying. A Studio share link stops working: it is tied to the filed document, and the document goes with your account. A report or pavement link keeps working — we store what it renders, so it outlives the account that made it. Neither carries your name, your email or anything else that identifies you. If you want a report link gone as well, revoke or tell us before you delete, because afterwards there is nothing left tying it to you for us to find it by.
What we keep, and for how long
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Payment and invoice records | Held by our payment processor, Stripe. Tax and accounting law requires a business to keep records of what it was paid. | As long as the law requires |
| Reports you shared by link | What a shared report renders is stored against the link, not against you, so the link keeps working. It holds a place, a date range and settings — no name, no email, nothing that says who made it. | Until the link is revoked |
| Aggregate usage counts | Our analytics is cookieless and never linked to an account, so there is no record of yours to find or remove. | Not attributable to you |
| Your email address, if it ever bounced or you marked our mail as spam | Kept on a do-not-email list so we cannot start mailing you again by accident. It is the address alone — not linked to your account, which is gone — and it stops mail rather than enabling any. Ask us and we will remove it. | Until you ask us to remove it |
| Server and delivery logs | Kept briefly by our hosting and email providers for security and debugging, under their standard settings. | A limited period, then discarded |
Deleting some of your data, and keeping your account
You do not have to choose all or nothing. Each of these works on its own, takes effect immediately on this device and on your account, and leaves everything else alone. Sign in first.
A saved place
- Open the place you want to remove.
- Press the filled star on its reading card — Remove from saved places.
Removes the place, its name and its coordinates.
A heat alert
- Open the place the alert is set for, and press the bell on its reading card — Heat alerts for this location.
- Press Remove alert beside the one you no longer want.
Removes the rule. Turning off your last alert also removes the push subscription — the delivery address your browser gave us.
A scheduled report
- Open Account and find Scheduled reports.
- Press the bin beside the one you want gone — Remove the schedule.
Removes the schedule, the report definition saved with it, and the record of when it was last sent. No more email arrives for it.
You can also stop one straight from the email: Stop these emails in the footer works without signing in. That switches the schedule off rather than deleting it, so the definition is still there if you want it back — use Pause in Account for the same effect, and the bin to remove it for good.
Your personal profile, including health sensitivities
Two different acts, both offered, because they are not the same thing:
- Open Adjust for your situation from the reading card.
- Reset to the general reading clears the values — age band, acclimatization, activity level and any health sensitivities — and leaves your agreement standing, so you can fill it in again later without being asked to consent afresh.
- Delete my profile and withdraw consent does the same and also revokes the agreement itself, including the record of when you gave it. Nothing about it is kept.
Take a copy first, if you want one
- Go to wetbulbtracker.com/account.
- Press Export my data.
None of these touch your sign-in record or your subscription — your account keeps working. What we retain regardless is the same in every case, and it is the table above. If you would rather remove everything, use the steps at the top of this page.
If you cannot sign in, email info@wetbulbtracker.com from the account’s own address, naming what you would like removed, and we will do it and confirm by reply.
