Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of WetBulbTracker.com and its related features (the "Service"). The Service is owned and operated by WetBulbTracker LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("WetBulbTracker", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What WetBulbTracker is
WetBulbTracker is a free, informational tool that estimates heat-stress metrics — including wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT), heat index, apparent temperature, wet-bulb temperature, and dew point — for locations around the world, using third-party weather data and published scientific methods. It is intended for general awareness and educational purposes.
2. Not safety, medical, or professional advice
The Service is not a substitute for official warnings or professional judgment, and it does not guarantee your safety. Heat-stress estimates are derived from forecast and model data and local conditions can differ significantly from what is shown. Do not rely on the Service as your sole basis for decisions affecting health or safety.
- Always follow official guidance from your national weather service, local authorities, employer, event organizer, or sports governing body.
- For medical concerns or emergencies, consult a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
- You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the Service.
Any personalized or "safe for me" risk indication is a general, heuristic aid based on the limited information you choose to provide. It is not medical advice, a medical device, or a diagnosis, and it does not account for your full health situation. Consult a qualified professional about your personal heat risk.
3. Data and accuracy
The Service relies on third-party data sources (including Open-Meteo, ERA5 reanalysis, the U.S. National Weather Service, and RainViewer) and computed estimates. While we strive for accuracy and publish our methodology and live validation, we make no guarantee that the information is accurate, complete, current, or available without interruption. Estimates may contain errors, gaps, or delays.
4. Accounts
Some features (such as saved locations, synced preferences, and an optional personalization profile) require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Most of WetBulbTracker is free, and the core heat-safety features — the live reading, the map, state policy information, and heat alerts — stay free. You do not need to give us a payment method to use them.
The paid plans. Prices are in US dollars and do not include any tax that may apply where you are.
| Plan | Price | Billing period |
|---|---|---|
| Plus | $4.99 | monthly |
| Plus | $47.88 | annual |
| Pro | $299.00 | annual, includes 3 Studio sites |
| Additional Studio site | $49.00 each | annual, added to a Pro subscription |
Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically. At the end of each billing period your subscription renews for another period of the same length, and the payment method on file is charged the price then in effect, unless you cancel before that period ends. Before a yearly plan renews, and at least once a year for monthly plans, we email you a reminder with the renewal date, the amount, and how to cancel.
Canceling. You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage plan, which opens our payment provider's billing portal. Canceling stops future charges. It does not end your current period: you keep the paid features you have already paid for until that period runs out, and the account returns to the free plan after it.
Refunds. Canceling stops future charges and we do not automatically refund the unused part of a period that has already been paid for. If you think you have been charged in error, or something has gone wrong, write to info@wetbulbtracker.com and we will look into it.
If we refund a payment in full, or a card payment is disputed with your card issuer, we may cancel the subscription right away. Paid features end when it is canceled, and the account returns to the free plan.
If a renewal payment fails. We may keep your paid features active for a short period while the payment provider retries the charge. If it is not completed, the subscription ends and the account returns to the free plan.
Price changes. We may change prices. A price change applies to you at your next renewal, not during a period you have already paid for. We will email you between 7 and 30 days before it takes effect, with how to cancel.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy govern its handling of your payment information, and section 8 below applies to it as a third-party service.
What happens to your data. Returning to the free plan does not delete your account or the places you saved. Features that are part of a paid plan stop being available, and free-plan limits apply again. You can delete your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what deletion covers.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any unlawful way or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at abusive volumes, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- Misrepresent the Service's output as official or authoritative; or
- Use the Service to harm others or infringe their rights.
7. Intellectual property and trademarks
The Service's name, branding, design, original code, and original written content are owned by WetBulbTracker and protected by applicable law. Underlying scientific methods and third-party data remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their terms. Our published methodology is provided for transparency and may be referenced with attribution.
WetBulbTracker™, the WetBulbTracker logo, and the Service's trade dress are trademarks of WetBulbTracker LLC (registration pending with the USPTO). You may refer to the Service by name — including in news reporting, reviews, and research — but you may not use our marks in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation, as part of another product or service name, or in a confusingly similar form. "WBGT" and "wet-bulb globe temperature" are generic scientific terms and are not claimed as trademarks.
8. Third-party services and links
The Service depends on and may link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of third parties, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WetBulbTracker and its members, officers and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss or injury arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or reliance on its information.
11. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
13. Emailed reports
A scheduled report is a report you asked us to build and send on a rhythm you chose. This section covers what one is, and what it is not.
You asked for it, and you can stop it. We send scheduled reports only to the email address on your own account, only for schedules you created, and only while your plan includes them. Every one carries a link that stops that schedule immediately and needs no sign-in. You can also change or delete any schedule from your account at any time.
What the numbers are. A scheduled report is built at the moment it is sent, from the same modeled data the site uses, and it is a snapshot of that moment. Forecasts change. A report describing days ahead may not match what those days turn out to be, and a report you open a week later still shows what was known when it was built. The generation time is printed on every one. Open the linked report for the current picture.
The written summary is generated by a language model. Where a report includes a plain-language brief, that text is produced by an AI model from the figures in the same report. It can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, and it is not reviewed by a person before it reaches you. The numbers and bands are the record; the summary is a convenience. Do not rely on it alone for any decision that matters.
It is not a warning service. A scheduled report arrives on your schedule, not when conditions change. It is not an alert, it will not tell you that something has become dangerous between sends, and it must not be used in place of heat alerts, official warnings from your weather service, or on-site measurement. Heat alerts are a separate free feature and are unaffected by anything in this section.
It is not a compliance record. Nothing we send certifies that any policy, standard, contract or legal obligation has been met. Where a rule requires a measured reading from an instrument at the site, a modeled report does not satisfy it.
Delivery is not guaranteed. Mail can bounce, be filtered, be delayed, or be refused by your provider. If your address stops accepting our mail we will pause the schedule and say so in your account. We do not guarantee that any particular report arrives, or arrives on time.
Availability. Sending depends on services we do not control, including our email provider and our weather data sources. We may pause, limit, or change scheduled sending, and we may cap how many schedules an account can hold.
Links in the email. A report link stays valid but rebuilds its report each time it is opened, from data for the dates it covers. Very old links may stop rendering once their dates fall outside the range our data sources retain.
The general terms above — including sections 2, 3, 9 and 10 on advice, accuracy, warranties and liability — apply in full to everything we email you.
